While the name Ixcacao does not appear in ancient Mayan texts, we believe that gods and goddesses draw their power from the faith of their believers. Ixcacao was born from the deep spiritual connection humanity has cultivated with this sacred plant throughout history. Humanity gave her a name to commune with this divine energy, and we honor that connection with this candle.
