Our Persephone Crystal Candle is inspired by the Queen of the Underworld in Greek mythology. Kore, daughter of Demeter, becomes Hade's wife upon eating six pomegranate seeds, and is fated to spend six months of the year in the underworld. This period of ruling over the kingdom of death represents nature at rest, a necessary period of repose before the great re-brith.
